Description
Thanks to my classmates for giving me some input and suggestions while working on this piece I won't distract you just before lab again. I promise or not.
You know, for such a large render (the background one; the fractal elements in the foreground are re-purposed ones from fav.me/d6b6ldv and fav.me/d628nvu), I was surprised that it only took 2 hours I mean, I have one of identical quality and dimensions going on now that's 3 hours in with another 2 hours remaining (estimate; will be longer than that because there is no way I am going without video games much longer).
Oh yeah! And this is one of the few ones these days that I didn't need to scale down at all :float: Changing quality from 2000 to 4000 really helped, and didn't add too much time to the rendering process So feel free to enjoy it in its full dimensions. It's 16:9 for a reason, you know ~ Or you could crop it and/or scale it to fit your monitor/device. I use the CCL for a reason, folks
In hindsight, I probably should have made the "ice crystals" less transparent, but I think I already threw out the .xcf file Maybe next time, I guess.
Programs: Apophysis, GIMP
Time: 3 hours post-render editing, <1 hour pre-render editing, and who the hell knows the actual combined render time? I certainly don't.

I really like the contrast between the smooth and pointy ice. And those colors are excellent!
